The World Blind Union, Fifth General Assembly, Melbourne November 2000 - Changing what it means to be blind No frames

The World Blind Union comes together as a world body once each four years. Its General Assembly serves as the ultimate decision making body of the organisation and as a forum for consideration of issues that are central to the lives of blind people throughout the world. 850 delegates and observers came to Melbourne.

The Fifth General Assembly, with the theme "Changing what it means to be blind" was held from Monday 20 to Friday 24 November 2000, in Melbourne, Australia.
